Mr. Stephen Gould
Principal Consultant and
Consulting Master Distiller
Mr. Gould has over four decades of professional experience including significant entrepreneurial, executive leadership, consulting and educational accomplishments in the automotive, distilled spirits and defense industries, and in the United States Marine Corps.
He is currently the CEO, Principle Consultant and Consulting Master Distiller of Consulting Alchemist Ltd., a consultancy that provides supply chain, production, procurement and international operations support to the distilled spirits industry.

He has worked in or with more than 33 countries in Asia, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe and has negotiated with the governments of 13 different countries (primarily in support of Ford Motor Company).
As a supply chain practitioner he has held roles several major corporations, including the better part of a decade at Ford Motor Company. During that time he held various logistics, trade compliance and supply chain management positions including Director, Asia Pacific Supply and Materials for Visteon Automotive Systems, an Enterprise of Ford Motor Company.
During his time in Asia for Ford he was functionally responsible for Ford's entire Asia-centric supply chain (except finished vehicles). This included managing the global supply base, operating logistics facilities in Europe, North America and South America, and most importantly, establishing the first regional Asia Pacific supply chain organization in Ford's history.
Along with this he was responsible for the creation of a trading company that allowed Ford to streamline both customs clearance for inbound shipments into China, and payments to suppliers outside of China. This was also a first in Ford's history ...
He also spent time at Kearny (then AT Kearny) a top-tier consulting firm, where he provided supply chain consulting to a variety of clients including Lucent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Starbucks, Federal Mogul and Intrenational Flavors and Fragrances.
Mr. Gould also taught supply chain, procurement and international operations in the MBA and MOM programs at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
After leaving Ford Motor Company, Mr. Gould founded and operated Gould & Associates Global Services, an integrated logistics, supply chain and related management consulting and government operations support company working in the government and commercial sectors. The company’s clients included Lucent Technologies, Oshkosh Corp, Lockheed Martin, Elbit Systems of America, SAIC, and Leidos among others.
As a consulting master distiller Mr. Gould has supported distilleries in the US, UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
He also lectures and teaches courses on distillation, including whisky production, the use of botanicals in the production of liquors and liqueurs, production of brandies and whiskies, craft-distillery start-ups and the history of spirits.

Most recently he spent 16 years as the Founder, Master Distiller and CEO of Golden Moon Distillery located in Golden Colorado, USA. Golden Moon Distillery produced a variety of award-winning whiskies, gins and other spirits which were sold in various major markets in the United States, Europe and Asia.
